Cheater Pancake Syrup

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
If I could, I would give this recipe 4 1/2. I liked the consistency, but would like if it was thicker. The flavor o the base was great, not fake tasting. Also, it has great color. I am not going to grade it based on its flavor seeing as i didnt add the maple. It was great with just more vanilla iin place. One thing I also did was added 1/2-3/4 Teas. of salt to help balance the sweetness. But what counts is that my whole family loved this! And it was super duper easy to make when i ran out of storebought.

Curried Chicken and Brown Rice Casserole

BLAH! This was not good in anyways whatsoever. I thought it sounded fantastic. Healthy food doesnt have to be nasty food. None of the flavors worked together AT ALL. NO harmony whatsoever. My family wouldnt finish their portions.

Peanut Butter Kisses I

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2009
These are a greeeeat invention! :0 i love the mild peanut butter flavor. This is a great, cheap cookie. I am a celiac and I can definately appreciate this. I had 2 left over egg whites, and i had alredy messed up the kitchen, so i did them by hand. WHAT A WORK OUT! but totally worth it. All the people that had them come out flat. One of a few things happened. 1. You didnt whip egg whites long enough. 2. You added the sgar too quick or 3. You mixed the peanut butter too much. If the peanut butter is only partially mixed in, because then you have meringue with like swirls of peanut butter. Yum Yum. They are even good out right out of the oven! P.S. any recipe that calls for egg whites and cream of tartar and says to whip it into peaks=MERINGUE

Honey-Baked Bananas

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
this is a great recipe. I prefer it without the toppings and it can be easily frozen. this gave me an idea for my vegan banana pudding recipe. I do 2 bananas 1 tsp of agave and 1 tsp of brown sugar, also i cook it about 5 minutes longer. when its done i mash it all up or puree it!

Vegan Bean Taco Filling

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
This was a very tasty alternative to meat filling. Its better than simple beans. Its great also a a side dish or a dip. I did tweak it just a bit to my liking. I added 1 tablespoon cumin, 1/2 tablespoon cayenne and i added more garlic. This came out great. I put my leftovers in the freezer!

Cinnamon Almond Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
This was very very tasty. But i added fineley chopped almonds and honey to it while cooking. I also tried it with coconut milk and i also tried it with long brown rice. It could be a great vegan recipe if you use agave instead of honey! I think I will try that! But i recommend this recipe. Its a great was to have a calcium rich breakfast and also get rid of your left over rice! :)

Black Bean Cakes

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
I did not make the sauce for the top so it was vegan. I didnt have fresh cilantro and was excited to try it so i did this. 3/4 cup masked black beans, 1/4 cup chopped onion, 1/2 tbl minced garlic, dash chili pepper, dash cayenne, 1 tsp dried cilantro, and 1/2 tsp cumin. Then i cut prtion in half and made into balls. After that i squished them lightly so it was about 2 inches across and 1 1/2 inches tall. They didnt fall apart this way and they were soooo good! Thank you for this amazing idea. Im going to make them into "meat"balls. Also if you have problems with stickyness its because your beans are too wet. They need to be very drained and dont use canned, those are slimy and gross. Plus its cheaper to do it yourself.

Chocolate Chip Cookies (Gluten Free)

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
more of a 3 and 1/2 star. This recipe was....fine. The problem is that they turn out flat and practically clear...and very grainy. I used this recipe quite often, and added 1/2 a cup more baking mix. I tried adding more another time but they became too "floury" and yucky. I would suggest another website for gluten free recipes. I love allrecipes but for gluten free baking they jst dont suffice. Go to websites that are for gluten free recipes. They also tend to be vegan.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
I absolutely LOVED this recipe! it is by far the best peanut butter cookie ive had! and im lucky, becuase i have an allergy to gluten! a few tips: adding a teaspoon or two of vanilla can adden a bit more depth (but not everyone likes vanilla in pb cookies). next, you may need to bake them up to 15 mintues. You know they are done when they very tops and edges look ready or almost as though there is a "skin". then wait AT LEAST 5 minutes, or else they are simpy goo. dont put them back in if they dont seem cooked enough after 10 minutes or so. they harden nicely once they are fully cooled. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS RECIPE!

this recipe came out...chewy! chewy and waaay too oily. It was too dense, and well...it was ! the only reason i gave it 2 stars was becasue i liked the flavor, it wasnt too...cocoa powdery.

it is okay but a bit bland and a bit to runny, add extra flour to the mixture to make thinner, also dont use all the liquid it is too much. add lots more spices too like puoltry seasoning, onion powder, pepper, and salt. dont go to crazy.
