About this Cook
I am 15 and Homeschooled. I have am a celiac but im absolutely in love with baking. There is no reason that GF baking has too be a drag and not delicious.
My favorite things to cook
I do mega research on other baker's GF recipes, and i test them out, and tweak them, until they are perfect! Also I am going to eventually put up my own blog when I get more recipes! I also enjoy making soups
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother has the beat homestyle food EVER!!! She makes the best pot roast and the best mac and cheese! I also love her cookies and ice cream sandwhiches! Other than that we dont really have any traditions. On christmas morning we used to make monkey bread, but i cant eat that now.
My cooking triumphs
GF pancakes, cookies, brownies (im almost at perfection), 100 ways to eat black beans, so on so on!
My cooking tragedies
Many many things. Just about anything i have tried i have failed for some reason...and sometimes i undercook stuff :(

Cheater Pancake Syrup
If I could, I would give this recipe 4 1/2. I liked the consistency, but would like if it was thicker. The flavor o the base was great, not fake tasting. Also, it has great color. I am not going to grade it based on its flavor seeing as i didnt add the maple. It was great with just more vanilla iin place. One thing I also did was added 1/2-3/4 Teas. of salt to help balance the sweetness. But what counts is that my whole family loved this! And it was super duper easy to make when i ran out of storebought.

Curried Chicken and Brown Rice Casserole
BLAH! This was not good in anyways whatsoever. I thought it sounded fantastic. Healthy food doesnt have to be nasty food. None of the flavors worked together AT ALL. NO harmony whatsoever. My family wouldnt finish their portions.

Peanut Butter Kisses I
These are a greeeeat invention! :0 i love the mild peanut butter flavor. This is a great, cheap cookie. I am a celiac and I can definately appreciate this. I had 2 left over egg whites, and i had alredy messed up the kitchen, so i did them by hand. WHAT A WORK OUT! but totally worth it. All the people that had them come out flat. One of a few things happened. 1. You didnt whip egg whites long enough. 2. You added the sgar too quick or 3. You mixed the peanut butter too much. If the peanut butter is only partially mixed in, because then you have meringue with like swirls of peanut butter. Yum Yum. They are even good out right out of the oven! P.S. any recipe that calls for egg whites and cream of tartar and says to whip it into peaks=MERINGUE
