Single. Enjoy outdoor active lifestyle including skiing, backpacking gardening/landscaping. Work out at gym 5 days a week. Four grown children, 1 grandchild (so far). Remodeling interior of my home at present

Don't really have a favorite. I try different styles of cuisine. Don't cook too much for myself, but usually for friends or family.
My cooking tragedies
None so far. I follow tried and true recipes. Not confident enough to experiment with dishes.

Flatlander Chili
Best chili I've ever made.

Avocado-Lime Shrimp Salad (Ensalada de Camarones con Aguacate y Limon)
This recipe was absolutely fabulous. I made it in November, so the tomatoes were not the best, but it still came out fantastic. I used a yellow bell pepper for color, I think red would go well too. Use the lime juice like the recipe calls for and let it set in the refrigerator for more than 15 minutes (I left it overnight). Allows the flavors to blend. Everyone in my wine class loved it. I can't wait to try it again with home-grown tomatoes next summer.

Kathy's Delicious Italian Pasta Salad
Makes a large portion at 6 servings. Took it to a Wine Club tasting and had many requests for the recipe. I just referred them to allrecipes.com. This recipe is a keeper.
