About this Cook
I have always loved cooking and baking. My mom and grandma took me into the kitchen when I was really young (about 2 years old) and I have started cooking with no help when I was about 7 years old. I collect recipes, recipe books and e-recipes. I am also the very proud of two wonderful little darlings. My husband and try to live a healthy livestyle and we teach our kids healthy foodchoices. That doesn't mean that we have given up our passion for baking
My favorite things to cook
Anything and everything. However, I am one outstanding baker :o) (yeah, and I am very modest about it too)
My favorite family cooking traditions
In my family we love cooking and cooking for family and friends. For me food and cooking for my family (and friends) is just one way to show them that I love them. Never mind if it is the usual daily meals or a family gathering.
My cooking triumphs
Many. I have been cooking for over 25 years!
My cooking tragedies
Not too many. Here and there a recipe that didn't work out, but nothing tragic ... and I never got any complains from the trash can

The Best Banana Bread
never had banana bread before, so I have no reference to how it is supposed to taste, but this was just AMAZING!!!! Only difference I made was that I turned it into muffins and hence reduced the baking time to about 25 minutes.

Pesto Tuna Salad with Sun-Dried Tomatoes
I like tuna salad, I love Pesto and sun-dried tomatoes, but this one really didn't work for me or my husband. I made the Pesto myself (don't like store bought ones in this country). At least I could use what was left of the Pesto for a pasta dish... not one to repeat
