Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
Excellent side dish! I used frozen french cut beans from trader joes. I mixed some cheese throughout. I also substituted fried onions instead of crackers (personal preference). It was a big hit. Thanks for the recipe.

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Delicious...great recipe!! I did cut down sugar to 1/4 cup after reading the reviews. It was perfect. I made it the night before Thanksgiving, refrigerated it, and finished it 30 minutes before dinner.

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
Excellent, moist and delicious. At first my husband said he didn't want a piece. Then he tasted a piece of mine and he had to have his own gigantic piece. I did not change anything. It took exactly an hour to bake. Thanks for the recipe!

Delicious and very flavorful. My husband loved that it had protein and pasta and veggies all in one dish.

My Kid's Favorite Pork Chops

Not bad. Pork chops were very tender after 2 hours of cooking but sauce was nothing special.

Coconut Shrimp I

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
AWESOME!!! I did not change a thing. I refrigerated the shrimp for an hour before cooking. Served with a strawberry dipping sauce that I tried at a restaurant (mix strawberry jam with water and whisk it until it looks thin enough to dip). Thanks for the recipe.

Pumpkin Crunch Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
What a hit for Thanksgiving!! I wasn't sure what it was going to turn out like but it was really like a pumpkin cobbler. Much tastier than pumpkin pie. I only used one cup of sugar and I toasted the pecans in butter before putting them on. Cooked for exactly 60 minutes. Thanks for a great recipe.

Asparagus Wrapped in Crisp Prosciutto

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
Great recipe, but I took the advice of others and used only 1/2 slice of proscuito per spear. It would have been too salty otherwise.

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
Good recipe. I added cream of mushroom soup, green beans, and peas. I also browned the chicken and cut it into cubes. Halfway through I mixed the casserole otherwise the stuffing would have been very dry.

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
The glaze made the salmon very moist but did not add too much flavor.

White Sangria

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
Excellent drink! I made this for a surprise 40th bbq and it was a hit. I added more fruit...limes, apples, raspberries (at the end). I also changed the cognac to brandy because it is a lot less expensive. Thanks for the recipe.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2008
Yum!!! I added salt and pepper to the chicken before the flour. I wanted to double the sauce so I made the following changes. I browned the chicken using 3 tablespoons of butter and 3 olive oil. I used 1/2 cup of white wine and 1/2 cup chicken broth. I slowly whisked in 1 and 1/2 cups of heavy cream with 2 tablespoons of cornstarch. The sauce was delicious. My family loved this meal. Thanks for the recipe!!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
Excellent and quick!!! My husband and I loved this meal. I wasn't sure what to do with the tilapia I bought but this was great. Just made a few changes: I used fresh basil instead of dried. I used garlic powder not celery salt. I baked it for 20 minutes at 450 degrees. I also put Old Bay on the fish and in the mixture I added a pinch of paprika and 1/2 cup of bread crumbs. I will add this to my regular recipe collection.
