My Rose
About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I really don't have a favorite, when I go to the grocery store I just see what looks good and go from there. I don't always have a plan in mind.
My favorite family cooking traditions
For Christmas we try not to have a traditional dinner. No turkey or roast beef for us. We have fajitas, greek, anything thats different. We pow wow at Thanksgiving on what to have.
My cooking triumphs
Willing to try new recipes all the time. Many of them have been good, but of course there is always a flop or two.
My cooking tragedies
I made a six layer cake that slid apart in the fridge it was all over the inside of the door and on the floor as soon as the door opened. It was a mess. Never made that again.

Acorn Squash
I have always made my acorn squash this way. We like to add some cinnamon also.

Spaghetti Squash I
We loved this recipe! I am always looking for meatless dishes. I did make some changes...I added lots more garlic, artichokes, dried oregano with the basil, mixed in half of the feta. I probably used more feta than the recipe calls for. Serve topped with more feta and the olives (I used green). For the leftovers I mixed 2 beaten eggs (use 1 egg per cup of leftovers) and 1/4cup parmesan cheese and made a fritta, that was really good. This would make a great brunch dish. I had it for lunch the next day.
