A New Yorker living Down Under with my husband and two gorgeous Golden Retrievers. I took up learning to bake bread about 2 years ago and really love it. I learned quilting about 4 years ago and it's my favorite pastime (aside from Mets baseball!).
My favorite things to cook
I love to Weber different roasts such as beef, chicken and pork. I also love to make up different sides to go with my main dishes and then come up with a really wonderful dessert.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking tradition will always be Thanksgiving even though it's not celebrated in Australia.
My cooking triumphs
When the pressure cooker seals, when the yeast rises, when I remember to get the food off the Weber on time and when I don't add too much spice to the food I'm cooking.
My cooking tragedies
When all of the triumphs go horribly wrong.

Cinnamon Cranraisin Bread
Absolutely brilliant and very easy to make! Because this is Australia I had to substitute Baker's flour and bread improver to the recipe but it didn't change it at all. Absolutely yummy toasted with spread!
