About this Cook
I have been cooking since I was 9. My mom wasn't a very good cook so I started as soon as she let me use the stove. He mother was a baker, and during the depression would sell her pies an cakes to near by restaurants. I did pick up that skill by osmosis!! And have all gramies recipies too. My husband is a professional chef and excellent Southern BBQ expert!!
My favorite things to cook
Love to cook authentic Mexican, bake breads, and love to can veggies as well as jams and jellies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Hispanic foods seem to be the best as far as main meals, taught by my friends Grandmothe. I also learned true Italian by my neigbor growing up.
My cooking triumphs
Apple smoked chicken was my best so far, well the guys loved my carne asada tacos too but there easy.
My cooking tragedies
Well tend to be frugal as my mom taught me and well , tend to use dead yeast way to frequently. lol

Homemade Pancake Syrup
Ok so a recipie for syrup.... youd think Duhh, but hey! This one is great! Who knew? I made it with cinnamon instead of maple and it came out great! Try it yourself you will be impressed! Add a tablespoon of butter as it cools to enhance the richness.
