Golden Rum Cake

I don't normally like rum cake but wanted to make one for my husband who does like it. THIS WAS GREAT! I even enjoyed it. This will be a Christmas tradition from now on in my home. I didn't have dark rum on hand, but did have the bacardi, and it was still GREAT! Thanks for the recipe!

Old Fashioned Potato Salad

This is just what I was looking for! This was my first time making potato salad so I was nervous, but it came out wonderful! I don't think I changed anything in this recipe. My only suggestion is to make sure your potatoes are good and cool before peeling and cutting. I made the mistake of not waiting long enough and thought I was going to end up with potato mush, but after putting the potatoes in the refrigerator they hardened up nicely instead of being mushy. I will make this again!!!

Sausage Potato Bake

I thought this wasn't bad. If I make this again, I would add some extra veggies. Something along the lines of carrots and corn. It's nice to toss it all in the crock pot and not worry about "What's for dinner?"

Pasta Lasagna

I just made this last night for dinner and LOVED it. It was easy to make. I loved not having to hassle with lasagna noodles. I followed the recipe exactly and thought it was wonderful and doesn't need any modifications. If you like lasagna but hate the hassle of the lasagna noodles, you should try this.

Rhubarb Bread I

This recipe is good. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I felt the bread was a little bland. If you didn't put the brown sugar/cinnamon/butter topping on the bread it wouldn't have much of a taste to it. So next time I make these I will either double the brown sugar mixture that goes on the top, or I will add cinnamon to the bread batter as someone else suggested. Also, I didn't have walnuts on hand (plus I don't like them), so I used pecans instead. I will use this recipe again as I have lots of rhubarb this time of year and am alway's looking for new ways to use it.

Sweet and Sour Meatloaf

I thought this was good. I don't know how some people could double the sauce and have it all fit in the pan though. I chose not to double the sauce and thought it was plenty! Very simple to make, I will put this in my rotation.

Frosted Rhubarb Cookies

I've made these before and they are delicious! They never last long in my house. My only complaint is that they spread out and don't bake up very well. I will still make them again, and again since they taste sooooo GOOD!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

I made this for dinner last night and fell in love! I can't wait to eat this again! I halved the recipe for the sauce and only used 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts cut up into bite size pieces and it was plenty for 2 adults and 2 young kids. I took the advice of others and floured the chicken pieces before browning them, and then followed the directions exactly and had no problems with the thickness of the sauce. It became thick and stuck to the chicken perfectly. I also reduced the hot sauce to just 1 TBS. and it was perfect for me and my kids. I'm drooling just thinking about eating this again. Man I wish I had leftovers!!

Grilled Peanut Chicken

I'm giving this 5 stars because my husband LOVED this dish! He's still talking about it! He said the sauce was so good he would eat it on a sandwich! Like others stated, the sauce is VERY thick so I did add some extra liquid to thin it a little. I will put this in the dinner rotation.

I made this for dinner last night and I have to agree.... this is awesome! It wasn't to spicy, but could easily be made spicier if thats what you like. I didn't change anything and I loved it! I will forever use this recipe. No more canned chili for me!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

I've made 2 batches of these. The first batch I baked in the oven, and used Franks Red Hot Buffalo wing sauce, and the next batch I fried and used half Franks red hot buffalo wing sauce, and half regular franks red hot sauce. Both were big hits. Even my 10 year old daughter enjoyed them. The only suggestion I got was from my husband who wanted them hotter. But others thought they were perfect. I will make these again.
