Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

I was doing my best to use up the last of my basil and I don't think I could have found a better way! I forgot to take the reviewers advice and add garlic, but it was fantastic even without it! I did have to keep adding extra water when the orzo was cooking because it wasn't quite cooked enough. I also almost doubled the basil. I will certainly be making this again!

Rhubarb Cake I

This cake was fabulous! I was slightly disappointed that the high amount of sugar made the rhubarb hard to taste, but I got over that! The streusel doesn't stay on top, it all falls to the bottom. We ended up making ours into a kind of upside down cake. This cake would also be good with apples I think. Anyways, no major changes other than I think I'll cut back on the sugar a bit next time. Great cake though!

Amish White Bread

This a very good bread. It has a nice soft texture and a rather plain flavor which makes it good to use for sandwiches. However, I found that 350 made my bread very well done on the outside after about 18 minutes and the inside wasn't all the way done. I think a lower temp for a longer time would be better. Good recipe though and I'll certainly try it again because the parts that were cooked were delightful.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

These were delightful. I used yellow cake mix and they came out great. I think the flavor of the cookie got lost in it a bit so maybe chocolate cake mix would be even better. Even though, they were still great and I have every intention of making them again. If nothing else, the chocolate chips in the middle made it totally worth it ;)

Black Magic Cake

What a wonderful cake! I used 1/4 cup oil and 1/4 cup applesauce since we had applesauce that needed to be used. I used a bundt pan for this and it came out perfect after about 35 minutes. I think next time I will make the coffee stronger and I might add some mini chocolate chips to it. All in all, it's a wonderful cake and it only gets better the next day :)

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

The best pumpkin bread ever. Simple easy recipe and it's the best hands down. No changes other than using apple sauce and it was fantastic. Can't wait to make more in the fall!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Excellent cookies! It hasn't quite replaced our original chocolate chip cookie recipe for the favorite at my house but it's a really close second! we make it with sugar free pudding since I'm a diabetic (although I guess it wouldn't make a big difference since there's sugar it anyways, but that's what we usually have on hand!) and it's still super good.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Wonderful dip!!! we loved it the first time but it wasn't spicy enough and we thought it was too ranchy so we cut back the ranch a bit and doubled the hot sauce. It was super good and it's now a staple when we have guests.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Jumping on the band wagon and saying this is the BEST cinnamon roll recipe I've ever tried and I've tired 5. No changes at all!!! It does make quite a few though so be ready to use more than just a 9x13

Taco Pizza

Holy cow this was super good! We only put beans on one of the pizza due to some people not liking beans at my house but even they ended up preferring the pizza with the beans. Spicy foods go over well at my house so we also put a layer of jalapenos before we added the meat and cheese. The crust was pretty good, but I recommend put the sauce to the edge because that's the good part. Excellent recipe! Will make again soon.

Michell Jenny's Challah

I'm not sure if this is a fair rating to a Challah bread because I've never had challah before. I found the bread kind of boring tasting. There just wasn't much taste. My little sister loved it though so maybe it's just me. I just thought it was missing something...

Chocolate Crinkles II

These are very good cookies for what they are. That is low fat, chocolate, and fast. I feel a little weird about the whole vegetable oil instead of butter/margarine, but it made them that much easier I say! I cut the baking time down to about 8 minutes and they were nice and gooey in the middle. They also look very pretty!

Half and Halfs

Perfect! My sister and I made these and used peanut butter chips instead of chocolate chips in the chocolate cookie dough. There was too much chocolate cookie dough, but that just made for a few chocolate cookies. We also shortened the baking time due to personal preference of a gooeyer cookie :)

Banana Chocolate Chip Softies

These went like mad at my house! I have a house full of picky eaters and everyone loved these. Even my mother who doesn't have a sweet tooth in her head liked them. They were a very soft cake-like cookie so don't expect something with the texture of a regular chocolate chip cookie. I didn't try them with vanilla pudding as other reviews have suggested but I certainly will now. I didn't change anything to the recipe myself though other than to slightly shorten the baking time due to a personal preference of having a gooey cookie.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Excellent muffins!!! We made them for Christmas morning with the white sugar in the topping and again this morning using the brown sugar in place of the white sugar in the topping. Definitely will stick with the brown sugar. We also were rather liberal with the blueberries. No change to oven temp or baking time.

Chocolate Chip Thumbprints

These were easy to make and they were very good. I didn't have to change a thing as far as what went into the cookie but due to personal preference, I cut the baking time to about 7 1/2 minutes. It made for a very soft gooey cookie. The only thing I didn't care for was that it takes the chocolate in the middle a long time to set. Will make again.
