About this Cook
I am 23 years old. I live in Bloomsburg with my boyfriend of 4 years. I have gone back to school after being out for 4yrs. I am studying Pastry Arts. I always loved baking. I love to see the smiles on people's faces when they're eating the goodies I've baked. My dream is to one day open my own little bakery or dessert shoppe (yes, shoppe)! I don't think that's too far fetched.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are DESSERTS! I am an expert at cookies. Everyone loves them because I can make the soft all the time. I have my secret to doing that. I also make cakes, brownies, and non-desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking tradition is Christmas. That was the only time we really cooked together. My mom was all about the cookies and pies at Christmas time. I got my skill from her.
My cooking triumphs
My greatest cooking triumph just happened recently. The current place where I am emloyed is putting in a bakery and I was offered the "head-chef" position. I am slowly getting to my dream. The way I see it, I could bake there for awhile and really get a taste for the job, finish my schooling, then open my own place... we'll see.
My cooking tragedies
I haven't had any tragedies YET! My greatest mistake was an egg shell piece or two, or a lil' too much salt. I have moved on from there.

Grandma Gudgel's Black Bottom Cupcakes
I made these cupcakes for my employees. They turned out great. Only, my cupcakes had more of a filling then a topping, but I think I liked them better that way.

Baked Zucchini Chips
I had tried this recipe. I cut the zucchini thin, seasoned them, and baked them for the required time. However, these "chips" did not bake for me. After about an hour of baking, I had to give up because I had to go to work. I won't try this recipe again, why waste my zucchini, I might as well just throw them away.

Chocolate Chip Orange Zucchini Bread
I was looking for a yummy way to use my zucchini that both my boyfriend and I would enjoy. The mixture of the chocolate chips and orange is a tastefully twist to an original recipe. I not only enjoyed the bread itself but the smell it spread throughout my home. Wonderful! Superb! I will definitely make this again.
