About this Cook
I am a newly wed....kinda we have been married for a little over a year. I work in general aviation as a charter coordinator at an airport. Aviation is my passion! I love looking out the window of my office & watching all the airplanes take of & land. My husband & I have 2 Boxers. They are our children! We love taking them to the dog park & walks on the weekends. I love every season that Kansas offers. Winters can be long & summers can be brutal but I still love the changing seasons.
My favorite things to cook
Baking anything sweet! I have a huge sweet tooth! And since finding this website I have found I am pretty good at main dishes as well. Chicken anything, slow cooker recipes, italian, & hor d'oeuvres. Still learning...but that is what is so fun about cooking/baking its a constant learning process!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Oyster stew, bruschetta, & con queso with chips on Christmas Eve after mass. I know.....what a random combination! But it wouldn't be Christmas without those things! Breakfast casserole & cinnamon rolls chritmas morning also! Thanksgiving...Turkey, mashed potatoes & gravy, green bean casserole, cranberries, rolls, pumpkin pie & my moms chocolate soup (aka pie).
My cooking triumphs
Nothing Triumphant enough to disclose...still working on it!
My cooking tragedies
Dark Chocolate/Rasbery fondue....i burned it. I was soo disappointed. Chocolate chip cookies that you could play hockey with they were so hard. And many others....

Paul's Pumpkin Bars
These were great! I added more pumpkin tho.....I used a 30oz can instead of 15oz. They were very moist & springy! I will be making these again!

Fettuccini with Basil and Brie
This was excellent! I have made this twice for different groups of people & both groups loved it! I did cut the oil in half the second time I made it & it was still delicious. Great with Shirmp!
