I am a baker by trade and love to cook and bake at home, too. Baking and cooking was always a good (and cheap!) way to keep the kids busy, so I grew up with alot of kitchen activity, and my kids did, too. I am engaged to a diabetic so I'm going to have to learn things all over again, I am used to cooking with the richest ingredients and going a little overboard, so I better bitch-slap myself back into reality or I'll kill the man before I even marry him. I love to bake my tried and true recipes often but also enjoy trying something new. I like this site because the recipes have reviews that help me to "tweak" them or just give helpful tips. My aunt, mother-in-law, and I used to cook Sunday dinner every week. We all loved to cook so we went nuts. I mean, three different kinds of meat, two types of starch, always gravy, four or five veggies, always rolls and biscuits and usually four or five desserts (that was my department). It was so much fun and everyone ate until they couldn't move and took naps. It was like a home cooking all you can eat buffet. I miss it! Really awesome potato soup, peanut butter cookies (I don't even like them, but everyone else seems to) Beef Stroganoff, Rich and Buttery cheesecake bars, any kind of pie, Roasted chicken with stuffing, iranian food that I am just learning, although I make good kabobs Some wierd bread machine fiasco, I still don't know what happened. Cinnamon rolls that were alot of work but didn't rise. Once I glazed and baked a ham that still had the plastic wrapper on it, that was funny as hell. My first attempt at spaghetti sauce was god-awful.
