About this Cook
Husband, four kids, stay at home mom. I'm at tennis lessons, t-ball games and gymnastics a lot. I love to spend time with friends, with kids or without. Hanging out with my family is by far the best part of my day.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE FOOD! So pretty much anything is fun for me. I love to make over a not-so-healthy recipe into something that actually has some nutritional content, and then hear my kids ask for more. But I also love fried foods, heavy cream and lots of butter in recipes! Like I said, I love food!
My favorite family cooking traditions
When my sisters, my mom, and my aunts plan a meal, we love to organize who brings what and what dishes will go together. It doesn't happen very often, but it's so much fun when we can all sit down with recipes, paper and pencil and plan a meal together.
My cooking triumphs
I have a recipe for Fettucine Alfredo that uses garbanzo beans instead of cream, and calls for a few veggies. The kids gobbled it up and asked for more. That is a huge triumph in my book!
My cooking tragedies
I have found that the dog eats well on the nights I cook fish. I am also notorious for making horrible cookies. It doesn't stop me from trying though :).

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana
Loooooved this soup! My family and our guest went on and on about how good it was, better than the chain restaurant's version! I used kale instead of spinach, but I think either would be good. Thanks for a great soup recipe, definitely a keeper.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
Hands down, the best apple pie I've ever had. Don't change a thing. This recipe is outstanding!

Ricotta Cookies III
Fabulous cookies! Sweet, tender, moist, addictive! The only change I made was to add a little lemon to the icing. However, these cookies are good enough to stand alone!
