Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies III
I JUST made these. Some are still in the oven! I'm not a big fan of oatmeal but made them for my boyfriend. Even I like them, though. I did add 1/2 c more flour, a full tsp of soda, (as recommended by other reviewers) but kept the salt as the recipe calls. I subbed 1 c sweet choc chips. I did chill them 30 min and didn't flatten them on the sheet w/ a fork. They turned out very good, maybe a little bit dry because of the extra flour. Oh, and I baked them at 325 for 10 - 11 min. Take them out before they are too brown on top to keep them chewy. Thanks for the great recipe!

Slow Cooker German-Style Pork Roast with Sauerkraut and Potatoes
I love this stuff! I've also added two peeled, sliced apples (they mix in w/ the potatoes so it doesn't taste "appley" plus 1 or 2 T brown sugar to soften the tartness of the sourkraut. And 2 bayleaves. Sometimes I add small chunks (1 inch) too to add a different flavor. My family gobbles this up - and it's EASY.

Chocolate Toffee Crunch Bars
Oops! Help! I loved these last time I made them. But, this time, I could not get the butter and brown sugar to "melt." It stayed gritty. I had water boiling for pasta on the stove and it was a very hot day. Could that have anything to do with it? I cooked the mix for longer than 1 min, but it started to scorch and still wasn't melty. They were still delicious, however!
