About this Cook
I'm american, I've lived in France for 10 years, and now live in Senegal. I've visited several different countries, eaten in many restaurants, but I've got to say my favorite cuisine is italian. I could never make better pasta than them, and their pizzas are divine! I often try to make recipes I've had in restaurants. I've only made one recipe better than I had it in a restaurant, and that's General Tsao's chicken. I love it and I love to make it!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook pasta, that's my favorite dish. I make every kind of pasta, my favorite is the basic homemade mac and cheese casserole recipe, and i change it as often as possible, sometimes I change the cheese, sometimes I add sausage... I also love to cook desserts, my specialties are chocolate chip cookies and chocolate mousse. Everyone loves my chocolate mousse!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family loves to cook. From Thanksgiving dinners to sunday brunches. My grandma makes a killer strawberry pancakes, my mom makes delicious lasagna, one of my aunts makes a fantastic sweet potato casserole for Thanksgiving, and my other aunt makes a wonderful everything!! I try to keep that going by cooking all the time.
My cooking triumphs
I think my best cooking triumphs have to be chocolate mousse, every kind of pasta dish, and General Tsao's chicken. That recipe turns out so good that even if everyone's stuffed they all ask for seconds!!
My cooking tragedies
The first time I made honey covered ribs, I cooked the sauce too long, and it was hard, so we just ate the fries.

Eggless Peanut Butter Cookies
I used natural peanut butter (I live in Africa and can't find any other type). This is a great recipe to use when you're out of eggs!

General Tsao's Chicken
I absolutely love this recipe!! I make it very often and my boyfriend loves it. I don't use so many peppers cause not everyone likes the spice, but I do love the gelatinious part. I don't add ginger though, or else 1/2 tsp ginger powder. I serve it with sticky thai rice.
