what happens when baking bread machine bread and the top deflates?  I just made Buttermilk Honey Wheat Bread and the top deflated.  I'm so disappointed because I was hoping this would be the "IT" recipe for homemade wheat bread.  I also made, yesterday, some rye bread from this site and didn't… MORE

About this Cook
My cooking tragedies
My husband and I hadn't been married long and we were on a tight budget and my mother had given me a subsciption to Taste of Home. There's always a section on feeding your family for like $1.19 or something like that and so I thought that would be the perfect way to keep on budget. The meal was supposed to be potatoes with the taste of pizza. It was supposed to be meatless. So I doubled the recipe thinking that we could have several meals on it, including lunches. We're eating and I'm asking what he thinks of it and I'm getting a less than enthusiastic response when all of the sudden I realize I had forgotten the most important ingredient - the pepperoni. That was how the dish was supposed to get it's pizza flavor. We've been married now almost nine years and in that time that's the only thing he's only asked me never to make again.

Breakfast Burritos
I make these often and I love them! Once I'm finished rolling them, I wrap them in "Press-n-Seal", put them in a lg. zip top freezer bag for many quick breakfasts to come. I reheat them in the microwave on high, slightly unwrapped for 30 seconds or so, turn it over and heat for 30 seconds more. They're fantastic!

Best Bruschetta Ever
The name says it all! When the tomatoes started falling off the vine this year I pulled this recipe out and made Bruschetta for my friends. I think I may have created a monster in making it for them because they keep asking for more! The only thing I changed was to add more salt - but that's a personal preference. Thanks for the great recipe!
