Food's fun, but I've always been on an extremely tight budget, so it's been a struggle to get away from boxed dinners and such. I've recently gone gluten-free, and before that I eliminated high-fructose corn syrup entirely from my diet. I also use no artificial sweeteners in anything, ever. I try to use as much organic produce et cetera as possible. I've learned to play with vegetarian foods for my friends, and I've learned to play with kosher foods from my past.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake, cookies especially because they're so easy, although this gluten-free thing has thrown a giant monkey wrench in that habit. Stir-frys never disappoint, and I developed one years ago that's still a favorite with chicken, macadamia nuts, coconut, pineapple, mandarin oranges, bell pepper, mung sprouts, water chestnuts, and bamboo, and that's always fun to make, if somewhat on the expensive side. Salads and sandwiches are always great to play with because you can add anything to them. I'm allergic to alfalfa, but I love other kinds of sprouts.
