About this Cook
I am happily married with three children(ages 7, 6, and 4 months), all of which is exhausting, challenging, and wonderful. I currently stay at home and have been exploring new things that i have never attempted to cook before.
My favorite things to cook
I take pride in my deserts and pastries, but above all of is pies. I learned to make them from my grandmother and they are a hit at every function I take them to. I even had to cut back on making them for the sake of my husband's figure.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I learned the basics of home/country cooking and canning our garden produce from my grandmother. Over the years I have tweaked and twisted that to appeal to my own taste for spice and exotic flavors. I love trying new things and challenging my culinary abilities.
My cooking triumphs
I have recently gotten the hang of making bread. I am interested in the artesian style loaves and all of their complex and subtle qualities.
My cooking tragedies
Many years ago while living as a broke college student I had to make something for supper. Going to the fridge I found one egg, a couple slices of craft singles, 1/2 an onion, and three left over fish sticks. Of course this in my tired mid-term studying state screamed omelet! Well how could I be wrong? Needless to say I could barely gut down much of it...I was hungry but not after I tasted it.

Scalloped Corn
My family adored this recipe. My father a self declared gourmet chef even asked for the recipe saying that it was even better than his own(which is a multi-hour elaborate process involving shucking fresh corn from the cob and so on).
