About this Cook
Hi, I'm an airforce brat, whose dad was a general's aide (in otherwords he ran the house, staff and cooked), so hence comes my account name. I'm now a wife, mom, stepmom and step grandma. I work so I really do not cook much during the week. When my hubby is off he cooks on the grill :)
My favorite things to cook
Fettucine Alfredo , collards with turkey wings, chicken parm., and lots of things.
My favorite family cooking traditions
christmas eve my husband fries a turkey or two. Christmas day is snack all day on left overs and snacks I buy.
My cooking triumphs
Cube steak and gravy was finally mastered, for my son it was sausage and gravy, my daughter it is the Fettucine Alfredo.
My cooking tragedies
My first meal when I got married was cubed steak and gravy, it sucked. Several Thanksgivings ago I was going to do a Paula Deen meal of Cornish Hens and some other dishes that I've pushed out of my mind. It was HORRIBLE.

Daddy's Fried Corn and Onions
This was so good and such a change from the norm. I used fresh corn, then added a small bit of green pepper, garlic salt and little chile powder.

Italian Ribs and Rice
Very good. I added more rice to feed my clan. Will make it again.
