About this Cook
Growing up in a great Christian home. I love to cook but baking is my specialty. I'd like to thank my mom for raising me up in a healthy home. I don't believe in a lot of salt, sugar, butter, or fried foods. My mom has taught me more than I could have ever taught myself about cooking and baking (thanks mom!) I enjoy learning and experiencing the culinary world every time I get in the kitchen. I have a cookbook that my mom made for me and I'm adding to it every day. I hope to finish college in May so I can venture out on my own and cook what I like! OH! AND I want to get married so I can cook for my husband :-D
My favorite things to cook
Chicken, chicken, chicken. You can never have too much grilled chicken.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always think healthy, but we make our food taste good. It's a tradition for us to try something new. You can't enjoy cooking if you eat the same thing every day!
My cooking triumphs
I haven't burnt down the kitchen?
My cooking tragedies
A banana nut bread. We had some Bananas that were getting brown spots so I decided to use them to make a nice banana nut bread to take to a meeting at church. I guess I used the wrong flour because when I took it out it looked all nice and then when I stuck a cake tester in it to see if it was done, it caved in! My special self cut a slice and it tasted like pure salt! BLAAH! Never again.

No Bake Cookies III
I made these yesterday and they were fantastic! Super easy and you cannot mess it up. I boiled for 1 minute. The time really doesn't make a difference, I don't think. just make sure it's a rolling boil!

Broccoli Cheese Soup
I liked this recipe a lot! Definitely a keeper...one suggestion: Use 2 (14 oz) bags of broccoli..there wasn't enough broccoli to me. I used 2 (32 oz) cans of chicken broth and used 1 cup in place of water to mix with the corn starch. Other than those changes it was delicious!

Clone of a Cinnabon
AWESOME RECIPE! No problems or alterations at all. I used a bread machine that my mom has had for years that she has never used. As long as you follow the directions, you cannot mess up. The secret to baking is precision. One problem I ran into was cutting.. make sure to have a good knife when cutting dough! Icing was to die for.
