About this Cook
I'm Gabrielle and I'm a freshman in high school. I have eleven turtles, a snake, a lizard and a frog. I run and swim, and I'm currently on my school's swim team!
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake everything that isn't good for you... Against my mother's wishes, of course :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is not really in to cooking, but every year for Christmas we make cut-out sugar cookies.
My cooking triumphs
Anything that I make that is actually edible :)
My cooking tragedies
There are a lot, but the one that sticks out the most is THE DONUTS. Oh, my.... greasy, chewy, sugared globs of dough... They made me so sick I couldn't sleep for hours... I don't know what happened, maybe the oil wasn't hot enough... All I know is that I will NEVER try to make donuts again!!

Chocolate Brownies with Fewer Calories
First, let me say I made a few changes. I used milk instead of water, about a cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips, and 2 eggs instead of 4 whites (I only had 2 eggs on hand). That said, this was a very good recipe. They weren't as good as regular brownies, of course, but for being lower in fat than regular brownies these were great. The batter was very thin, and I was a bit worried, but they cooked up nicely. I will definitely make these again!

Asian Orange Chicken
This was awesome! I threw in some broccoli, snow peas, carrots, red bell peppers and water chestnuts and served it over brown rice. Next time I will probably just skip the breading because it got a bit mushy for me, but the sauce was great! Thanks!

Southwestern Egg Rolls
Delicious! I baked these instead of frying them to cut down on fat and calories and they were stil delicious! Thanks!
