My husband and I got married on 1/2/09. We have a son and daugter. My DH has a terminal kidney disease but luckily hasn't gotten to the point of needing dialysis yet. I have severe anxiety problems as well as bi-polar. I am currently writing a cook book and making plans to go back to school in the fall.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything and everything. I'm hopelessly addicted to my crockpot. Currently I am working on learning how to make bread and chinese food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom always makes limpias for Christmas. I don't have the patience to cut the veggies but love helping her roll them. My son hates being in the kitchen so I am really looking forward to my daughter being big enough to help cook. I remember sitting on the counter helping my mom make meatballs and I want to pass that memory onto my daughter.
My cooking triumphs
I finally learned how to make breading that stays on the chicken and pork chops.
My cooking tragedies
I once made 3 dozen cinnamon rolls and realized after I took the last batch from the oven that there wasn't any cinnamon in any of them. Made a honey & soy sauce chicken marinade for some chicken thighs. Must have marinated them too long (???) because they were rubbery and nasty tasting.
