My favorite things to cook
I've always thought that I preferred baking over cooking but have recently been making dinner for friends and people who drop in for dinner and have found that I really enjoy cooking too! I'm mostly vegetarian as my stomach can't digest meat very well but I'll cook meat for other people with no problem. I enjoy searching for low fat/low calorie recipes but rarely find any that are absolutely delicious, although I've stumbled across a few.
My favorite family cooking traditions
For christmas I've always made mexican wedding cookies, chocolate and peanut butter fudge, sock-it-to-me cake, and crackle top ginger cookies using my great grandmothers recipes. Usually my mother and I get together and have a baking marathon that lasts an entire day. Although sweet potato casserole is a fairly common thanksgiving tradition, the dish reminds me of the holiday when I was little and therefore will always have a special place in my stomach.
My cooking triumphs
