Ice Cream...Yum!
About this Cook
Hello all! I'm 26 and live in Duluth, Minnesota. I love the outdoors and, of course, gazing out the window endlessly at Lake Superior. Music, the outdoors and cooking are my greatest passions. Being recently out of work I plan on trying out new recipes!
My favorite things to cook
In the summer I love participating in any sort of grilling...especially fish, kabobs and vegetables. In the winter I love using my crockpot and cooking unique soups that warm the soul! I don't often make the same recipes...I love the challenge of trying to cook new things!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I currently have my own apartment with family being 5 hours away. So for myself I love cranking some jazz music or rhythm and blues, cracking open a bottle of wine, and chopping fresh ingredients like crazy in anticipation of cooking!
My cooking triumphs
I think my best triumph was when I made a German Bee-Sting cake. My critic was from Germany. I used a very old recipe that turned out to be quite tedious! But hey, I got raving reviews!
My cooking tragedies
I think my most recent tragedy occurred last week. I was preparing a watercress and orange soup. I put it in the blender, turned it on high, and THEN realized the lid wasn't on tight. My boyfriend dipped his finger into the soup on the cupboard and tried it...apparently it was "probably going to be pretty good!" *sigh* :)

Chi Tan T'ang (Egg Drop Soup)
I would not change anything! This was absolutely perfect! Great after a long day at work when you really don't feel like cooking anything but want something to warm you to the soul. Thank you so much Brian! I can't wait to have some with lunch tomorrow!

Buffalo Blue Cheese Chicken Burgers
Great! I did some changes thought. Actually used canned chicken and it was fantastic! Didn't have ground chicken...so that's why I'm giving it four stars....thanks for the recipe! My boyfriend and I are huge blue cheese and wing sauce lovers!

Spicy Dill Potato Salad
Wow. This one kinda took words out of my mouth. Time consuming? A little....Worth it? YES. I just made this this afternoon...can't go wrong making a recipe like this on a Sunday afternoon. I also took others advice and cut back on the peppers and sauce. I'm truly blown away. Could almost cry over it. For real. Thanks for the recipe!! :)
