Sugar Cookies

For me these cookies were ok. I would have preferred them to be sweeter and less fluffy. However, my kids went nuts for them. I had to make a second batch an hour later.

Zucchini 'Noodles'

This is a really good base. I added marinara sauce and black pepper and it turned into a 5 star recipe.

I grew up eating something similar to this, my mother's family is polish/czech. My mom did not make hers with vinegar so I thought I would try this recipe. I did not care for the sour taste. Next time I will omit the vinegar. I think it will be more kid friendly without the vinegar, too.

Frosted Banana Bars

My children love banana bread and I made this as a change one day. It is soo light and yummy. I cut back on the sugar and added some cinnamon. I also omitted the icing, it really doesn't need it. The kids and fam raved about this, I will be making it again.

Orange Pineapple Torte

Plum Tomato and Escarole Salad with Parmesan Balsamic Dressing

I don't know about this one. It had a strange taste to me. I think it was the chicken stock. I will try it again and substitute the chicken stock for dijon mustard.

Saffron Rice

I used orzo instead of rice, 1/2 the butter and it was ok. I think I will try making it but I will add vegetables added and some spicy seasoning.

Blueberry Muffins I

I am only giving this recipe 3stars because I had to tweak it so much. I added a big spoonful of sour cream to add moisture. I added some brown sugar and a tablespoon of maple syrup. I tripled the amount of blueberries. The muffins came out great!! The kids love them.

Squash Cookies

I have to leave out the nuts because of my daughter's allergy, but these are amazing! My family loves them. Like other mention I top them with homemade cream cheese icing, yum!

Vietnamese Sandwich

I followed the recipe exactly and the sandwiches were ok. I have had traditional vietnamese sandwiches and they tasted different. These seemed like they were missing something.

Avocado and Tomato Salad

This was really yummy! My husband was apprehensive but after he taste it he ate all that I made. He like it so much, I had to make it again the next day for an appetizer. A+ recipe.
