Japanese Style Deep Fried Shrimp

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2009
OMG -- if I could give this 10 stars I would. This is the first recipe where the bf said, "did you write that down?" I have tried numerous recipes off of this site. I read the reviews, I make changes, and then I put them in front of the bf for his review. This recipe could not be ANY more perfect. We definitely used panko bread crumbs (I think this is the key) and the only thing that I did that was "extra" was sprinkle the shrimp with Old Bay as well as the other spices. My hats off to this WONDERFUL recipe. We made it 2 times in 1 week! Not healthy, but wonderful!

Sausage Mushroom Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2009
This was my first time to make a quiche. This recipe is AMAZING!! I followed some others suggestions. I pre-baked my pie crust for 10 minutes, I added a half a cup of cheese to the bottom of the pie shell, I added one additional egg, and I used swiss cheese. I was able to get all of the mixture into a deep dish pie crust...barely. My boyfriend and I ate this for dinner (I put some hot sauce on mine before eating) -- he even went back for seconds. Thanks for the awesome recipe.

Cheesecake Supreme

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!! This is the exact recipe that I've been looking for. I love cheesecake but have had trouble making them tall and creamy in the past. The only additions...some cinnamon to the crust and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to the mixture. This received RAVE reviews at my house!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
This recipe was simple and worked perfectly for my chocolate covered strawberries!! I do not own a double boiler so I just put a small amount of water in a pot and placed the chocolate and shortening directly into a smaller pot. Then I put this pot into the larger one with the water. It melted quickly and easily and tasted great. I dipped each strawberry and placed them on some parchment paper. This went directly into the fridge and then after it set (20 minutes or so) I placed them directly on my cheesecake and used the leftover chocolate to drizzle the entire cheesecake!
