About this Cook
I'm a 28 year old mother of 1. My daughter is 5 years old and has recently been exploring assisting mommy in the kitchen. I'm currently in the process of completing my Bachelor's Degree in Business and work a full time job at a computer consultant company.
My favorite things to cook
Almost anything Italian, Asian, or anything I can bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Fried empanadas!! My grandma, mom, and I use to cook these when I was growing up. This was used as our girl time. We would spend HOURS making dozens of these. Most of my earliest childhood cooking memories were of these.
My cooking triumphs
Beef Wellington!!! A dish that I just HAD to try after my favorite cooking show, Hell's Kitchen with Chef Ramsey. It has taken numerous attempts but I believe I finally have one worthy of Chef Ramsey.
My cooking tragedies
My attempt at slow cooker chicken and dumplings. I never got the dumplings to cook. I ended up having to move them to a pan on the stove.

Japanese Style Deep Fried Shrimp
OMG -- if I could give this 10 stars I would. This is the first recipe where the bf said, "did you write that down?" I have tried numerous recipes off of this site. I read the reviews, I make changes, and then I put them in front of the bf for his review. This recipe could not be ANY more perfect. We definitely used panko bread crumbs (I think this is the key) and the only thing that I did that was "extra" was sprinkle the shrimp with Old Bay as well as the other spices. My hats off to this WONDERFUL recipe. We made it 2 times in 1 week! Not healthy, but wonderful!

Sausage Mushroom Quiche
This was my first time to make a quiche. This recipe is AMAZING!! I followed some others suggestions. I pre-baked my pie crust for 10 minutes, I added a half a cup of cheese to the bottom of the pie shell, I added one additional egg, and I used swiss cheese. I was able to get all of the mixture into a deep dish pie crust...barely. My boyfriend and I ate this for dinner (I put some hot sauce on mine before eating) -- he even went back for seconds. Thanks for the awesome recipe.

Cheesecake Supreme
AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!! This is the exact recipe that I've been looking for. I love cheesecake but have had trouble making them tall and creamy in the past. The only additions...some cinnamon to the crust and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to the mixture. This received RAVE reviews at my house!
