I am a 25 year old cook at Stonewood Grill and Tavern and a culinary student here in Jacksonville. I've been a professional cook for 7 years now and just started in school. A quick note, the "hobbies" section of the profile creator was really lame. So, my real hobbies are as follows: watching football, video games, writing, crossword puzzles, watching and discussing/critiquing films, music (listening mostly as I'm rhthmically challenged), sipping a fine icy cold beer, and not all the least of them, learning everything I can about any subject, not just cooking... but mostly cooking. Also I can't stand it when people say "restaurant quality". It's so asinine. Also I think people are throwing out the "expert" rating for themselves rather loosely. If you take offense to that, you know you're one of them.
My favorite things to cook
Anything. Well, almost anything. It has to involve fresh ingredients, for one. Contrary to what I said above, pre-packaged food is the work of the devil. It has to be somewhat of a challenge. There's no point in cooking great food if it's easy. Also, I love breakfast. It's like the Jesus of the three meals. Dinner puts in a strong showing, lunch is like dinner's little brother who always wants to tag along and hang out with the older kids. Brunch is just a pretentious way of saying breakfast.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Ordering from Domino's.... HA! Only six people on Earth will get that, but to them it'll be hilarious!
My cooking triumphs
Almost anything I touch. It wasn't always like that though.... Like that time I tried to duplicate an Alfredo sauce from work and scale it down from yielding 2 gallons to a quart. What can I say? I was so young!
My cooking tragedies
My what? No dice!
