About this Cook
I love to cook new things, more often than I would like I make a lot of one hit wonders. Good meal but then I forget to pull those items together to produce an encore. I think this site will help remind me of the things I enjoyed making and motivate me to make it again.
My favorite things to cook
I have, for as long as I can remember enjoyed makeing sweet things, so baking is what I usually do best. I supposed its becasue I am always craving something sweet.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We are Puerto Rican, so usually we enjoy cooking rice and beans or our pork roast, pernil, around the hoildays. My versions are a little different from what I remember growing up eating, but to tell the truth I like it better. :)
My cooking triumphs
Definalty my rice. :) I was notorious for being an impatient cook and so I would always ruin rice, either too hard, or soggy. Now its (almost) always perfect.
My cooking tragedies
My rice. :)

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies
Fast, easy and taste great. No flour needed, unless you use Splenda which makes them very delicate but workable and still yummy when you need a cookie low in carbs. I always add the vanilla. One, one, one and one. Only recipe I know by heart.

Tuna Noodle Casserole I
Great Recipe, I didn't need to make less noodles or more sauce it came out very saucy as is. I chose to mix in tomatoes and frozen peas and added a paramesan and bread crumb crust before baking. tasted great, great recipe for mix and matching what ever you have on hand. Thank you for the recipe!

Banana Bread IV
This was a good recipe and I will make it again. You can reduce the sugar withour too much of a differene in taste. Debends on how sweet you want it. I did bake in a glass pyrex loaf pan and I think it may have had a small effect on my bread, I think is should have been more moist. Next time because all I have is that loaf pan, I will make sure to reduce the baking time by just a little bit to keep the bread a little more moist. Overall good and nothing a cold glass of MILK couldn't handle.
