A Night Out
About this Cook
I just got done with school and I'm attempting to put my life in order and eat delicious food along the way.
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake even though my boyfriend doesn't really like sweets, I pawn them off on my friends. I also like to make anything with veggies. They seem to make the process of cooking longer and I think that sometimes cooking can be almost theraputic.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandma is an amazing finnish cook. She makes delicious pannukakku, runzas, and pasties. Every day that my family can celebrate, they do, and it's usually with food and a great big cake.
My cooking triumphs
I made cookies for everyone last christmas. Everyone loved them and they looked so pretty!
My cooking tragedies
I made a sugar cake for my dad when I was really little. It was sugar and graham crackers with blue food coloring about 2 inches thick. His face was pretty funny when he bit into it, but I remember thinking it was quite delicious. :)

Delicious Artichoke Dip
My boyfriend loved this! I added some frozen spinach (thawed) and a package of cream cheese. I also put extra parm and some mozz on top of the dish. It ended up being a really thick dish. I might want to try and thin it out a little bit next time and use less cream cheese. It ended up being very good though.

Apple Crisp III
Overall, it was pretty good. I used wheat flour instead of white and applesauce instead of butter. The top ended up being good, but could have been a little crispier. I would also use a little less water or maybe cut the apples a little bit thicker the next time I used the recipe because the apples ended up being a little mushy. I'll def. use this recipe again with a few alterations. Thanks!

Banana Crumb Muffins
I made these muffins with a "healthy" twist. I used whole wheat flour and applesauce in place of butter. I didn't use the crumbles on top either. They ended up turning out fantastic with half the calories!! My roommate loved them and I didn't want to stop eating them. Thanks for the recipe.
