About this Cook
I am a semi-young stay at home wife (aka "homemaker"). I am a video game addict, and I *do not* enjoy cleaning. I cook just about every night for my husband... but some nights, especially when the weather is too hot, I like to take a break.
My favorite things to cook
Dinners: Spaghetti (although I'm not a fan of the stuff), lasagna, curries, chili, baked chicken, baked fish, hamburgers. Desserts: Chocolate chip cookies, fudge, angel food cake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I dislike most of the regular meals we had in our home growing up. Goulash, hamburger gravy, etc. It was all so bland or contained one too many canned tomatoes. To this day I dislike canned tomatoes and refuse to cook with them. However, my mom did make "enchisagna" (enchiladas/lasagna), which is probably my favorite dish ever.
My cooking triumphs
I don't think I've quite triumphed yet. I take things slow and haven't strayed too far from what the recipes say. Once my cooking ventures start to become more exciting, I'm sure I'll have something more to say here.
My cooking tragedies
No tragedies yet, give me some time! ;)

Barbie's Tuna Salad
A nice tuna sandwich on a hot day is excellent - but this is so much more than a tuna sandwich, this is amazing. I had no Parmesan this time around, so I am definitely looking forward to making it again.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge
This recipe, for the effort that goes into it, is amazing. At first, after mixing in the chips, I thought it just tasted like melted chocolate chips and was worried that it wouldn't turn out to be more than just a giant chunk of cold chocolate. I couldn't have been more wrong, though. It turned out to be creamy and delicious. Definitely curbed my craving for fudge. I didn't add the nuts (my own preference), but everything else I did exactly as the recipe states. 5 stars, most definitely!
