About this Cook
I am 21 and new to cooking. I love eating more than I do cooking but you need one fore the other. Shopping at the grocery store excites me and relaxes me at the same time. My favorite isle is where you find all the random spices and sauces, if only I had more time to try them all.
My favorite things to cook
Fish and Mexican food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family loves to eat but I wasn't raised to help out in the kitchen so I am starting from scratch. Its a lot of fun but basic tips you take for granted I would love it if you shared.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I try something new which is constantly.
My cooking tragedies
so so many. The first time I was making spaghetti I took the pot to the sink with the lid on to drain the water and the whole thing went quickly down the drain and I was burned in the process. I tried a recipe that called for a lot of herbs like rosemary to cook some extra Halibut we had. Me and the bf like to call that disaster "grassy fish"

Chile Pork
I was given some pork and did not know what to do with it. Without this recipe its doubtful I would ever have found a way to like pork. This was great, i could eat it with a smile when even mild salsa gives me watery eyes. I did not have cilantro of any kind so that was left out. I added a dash of cayenne. My leftovers the next day were too spicy for me.

Easiest Pot Roast Ever
The veggies came out a little bland but that might have been unavoidable. This is the very first time I have cooked in a crockpot and was thrilled with the result. I rubbed both sides with mixed spices and leory salt. For the bf and I we had dinner and tons of leftovers for about twelve dollars including the carrots, onions, pot roast and tax. Great! thx
