About this Cook
I grew up cooking for my family, so I'm comfortable with classic American, Italian and New Mexican Cuisine, but I love to experiment and share my experiences while trying new recipes
My favorite things to cook
New Mexican, Italian, American styles. I love to bake, but am not so accomplished.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love making my family recipes and testing new favorites. I'm always open to new ideas. I've been lucky with the classics so far, so I don't want to jinx it by bragging too much.
My cooking triumphs
Any new recipe that turns out well.
My cooking tragedies
Any new recipe that turns out badly.

Cream of Mushroom Soup I
This is by far the best soup I've ever made! I must have made this 15 or 20 times so far for dinner parties and even just for lunch and it's always a huge hit. I sometimes change it up a bit, 1/2 baby bellas and 1/2 cremini mushrooms, I double the fat-free 1/2 & 1/2, and then puree the entire mixture for an incredibly rich and tasty treat.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars IV
This is really good, although I think I added too many graham crackercrumbs as the bottom was a little dry. I used 15 whole grahams crumbled finely as another reviewer suggested and then added 3 more when the first batch only yielded about 1 3/4 cups. I think 15 would have been perfect. Will make this again, but think it needs to be tweaked a bit.

World's Best Lasagna
I loved this recipe although I used my own meaty tomato sauce recipe, I did follow the rest of this recipe except I added two eggs doubled the basil. I made a double batch and every single serving was taken within 20 minutes. My husband actually went back for 3rds, which he never does. This is one for the recipe box.
