Chocolate Sandwich Cookies II

i thought these were just average....the cookies were pretty good, but I wasn't a big fan of the cream center. Kind of bland in my opinion, but my kids really liked them.

Dutch Potatoes

I thought this was a very unique dish but we all really liked the flavors in it. I loved that I was getting extra veggies in my kids (and husband) and my mashed potato loyalist hubby loved the flavor of these taters too! Thanks for sharing.

Holiday Chicken Salad

SOOO GOOD! I am not even a huge fan of chicken salad but I made this for a baby shower gathering and it was a big hit. I did a test run and found that it tasted the best after the third day. Love all the flavors mingled together. I did add more mayo to the mix just to make it a little more "saucy" but the salad looked beautiful on croissants and tasted just as good as it looked! Thanks for sharing!

Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

I used half butter, half shortening as suggested. Icing turned out good consistency, best when chilled. When it wasn't cold I found it easy to work with but a little too soft for me to really enjoy. I doubled it so it made a ton. I still have a lot left to use up, but I'm sure I'll find a way! ;)

Buster Bar Ice Cream Dessert

everyone loved this! The fudge sauce is to die for....could easily make and store for regular use on ice cream, etc. It is better than anything store bought! The layers on this go so well together and the peanuts give it just the right amount of flavor and texture. I even had fun making it! Thanks!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Seriously awesome pie. I added the cinnamon, vanilla, and corn starch and mixed the sauce in with the apples. I made this for all the fathers in my family for Fathers Day dinner tonight and it was a big hit. Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

My husband LOVED this. I thought it was really good as well. The sauce is pretty rich and Icreamy, and I might look into a substitute for the wine next time. The smell of it cooking made me a little nauseous but that's probably just because I'm pregnant. Overall, this was a great meal and not that hard to prepare. It has been requested several times since I first made it.

Easy Meatloaf

Very flavorful and moist. I mixed in the glaze ingredients before baking and just made a bit of additional glaze for the outside. I'm not normally much of a meatloaf fan but I thought this was good.

Simple But Awesome Lemon Pepper Pork Chops

I made these using a sliced pork tenderloin instead of the bone in chops. I also used an 11x7 pan instead of the foil. I went by the recipe except I did add some garlic salt as well and they turned out yummy! I think you could get by with a little less butter and oil, but you have to have a good amount so that the chops stay tender. I might try a couple tablespoons less next time. The meat had a great flavor and was very tender. My husband even used the leftover marinade for his potatoes! Thanks for the yummy dinner recipe!

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Yummy! I made this pie using all of the suggested changes (coconut milk, corn starch) and it turned out perfectly. I did not cook my custard in the microwave though. I prefer to use the stove and just stirred it constantly. It didn't burn and thickened up nicely. Thanks for the great recipe!

Strawberry Shortcake

I made individual shortcakes and cut the baking powder in half like many of the others. I also added some sugar to the recipe just to sweeten it up a bit. These can be made with a whole wheat/white flour mixture as well and they still taste yummy!
