About this Cook
I'm a Sophomore in high school and I love it! I love singing (I'm in an advanced choir) and playing the piano. I love reading, Music is my life and I REALLY love it! I'm friendly and outgoing and people say I'm funny too. I like eating healthy- i hate soda and pop tarts and stuff like that. I am definitely a meat lover- especially Ham and Bacon. I pretty much just love to cook and bake it's a constant hobby! I have a terrible sweet tooth! and that's pretty much it!
My favorite things to cook
Pretty much anything but I especially like working with chicken because you can do so much to it to make it taste good and put it alongside many other foods! I also like grilling I'm a major perfectionist on it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Thanksgiving we use my great-great grandmother's recipe for this really yummy and tart cranberry and orange relish! Every Christmas we always make a homemade honey-glazed ham. And on the mornings of General Conference we always make Coffee Cake! :)
My cooking triumphs
Pretty much every recipe I follow turns out pretty good!
My cooking tragedies
I'm still working on finding a cheesecake recipe I like because cheesecake is my favorite desert and I would love to make it! I once tried to make a chocolate silk pie and I melted a pan... don't ask me how!

Cinnamon Raisin Bread I
this was pretty good! it does NOT take 45 minutes to bake however... i freaked out when i turned on the light to check on it after about 25 minutes and it was practically burned! the bread is a good texture but i'm going to use a smaller pan next time so my bread doesn't turn out so fat looking and taller looking. good recipe!

Pumpkin Waffles with Apple Cider Syrup
This was pretty good. it could have used more pumpkin and I don't even like pumpkin that much. I used a cinnamon syrup instead. it wasn't crispy but it was soft and i liked the consistency. I might try to make again and add more pumpkin.

Cinnamon Syrup
This was my first time actually making syrup! This syrup was really easy to make and it tasted good it was just a little bit too thick for me. Really dark and thick and over masked the flavor of the pumpkin waffles i made it with. I probably won't make this again but if you like thick syrup you'll definitely like it. I LOVED the cinnamon flavor to it.
