About this Cook
I enjoy travel, reading, wine, learning, dining out, movies, tv, volunteering and crafts. I am passionate about baking and I am continually perfecting my skills and techniques. I have much to learn, but I am having fun. Creating something delicious for family and friends is the best.
My favorite things to cook
I am passionate about baking, but I do love to cook and I am constantly trying new recipes and working on techniques. I love to recreate favorite dishes from restaurants. I love preparing healthier dishes for everyday, but I also love preparing rich, delicious dishes once in a while.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I remember watching my grandmother and mother cook and bake and I hope to one day be half as talented as they are. I work as my mom's sous chef at Thanksgiving, chopping up celery and bread for the stuffing.
My cooking triumphs
I have mastered my mom's Thanksgiving stuffing.
My cooking tragedies
Cakes falling apart, ugh.

Million Dollar Cake
This cake is a winner. I always get rave reviews when I bring it to a function. Great summer cake.

Simple Scones
I was impressed by this recipe. My first attempt at scones and they turned out great. I soaked the raisins in amaretto prior to adding them to the mix. I would like to try gran marnier next time. The variations are endless and this is another great addition to my recipe box.
