Very nice basic cookie. It was a bit too dry though and crumbly so I had to sprinkle water over the dough to make it hold together. My butter was half softened and half from the fridge so that might have been part of it. I will definitely try again though and probably try with different spices and extracts to mix it up a bit.

My husband wouldn't finish it - though the spices were weird. I thought it was okay but nothing exciting. Might try to do something based on it with diced tomatoes and herbs instead of salsa. Also, I had too much ground beef - I couldn't find a 2lb package so it wasn't quite cooked in the middle but that was obviously my fault not the recipe's.

While I wasn't blown away by this my picky eating sister and husband devoured it along with my kids. I'll definitely be making it again. I also didn't read the instructions very well and didn't turn it at the 5 hour mark but it was still great. Next time though I think I will rub the spices on the night before.
