Delicious! Added mushrooms as suggested by another reviewer and they took it from 4 stars to five!

Simple But Awesome Lemon Pepper Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
I would definitely not agree with the reviewers who claimed their chops were bland, because they were not at all. I would suggest being very generous with the lemon pepper and adding some minced garlic and onion slices on top of each chop. That really made a difference in my chops. I also cut the oil/butter in half, and would probably use even less next time to cut the crazy amount of fat. I am giving four stars instead of five because while my chops were tasty and juicy, they weren't as tender as I'd expected. Not sure what I could do next time to make them more tender? Overall, I will make them again.

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
I was looking for an easy recipe for ham in the slow cooker, and this was it! It came out pretty good, though 2 cups of sugar seemed like a lot so I used half and ended up wishing I used it all because it needed it. I also think eight hours was a bit long, next time I think I will take it out after seven. Overall it was juicy and good.

Honey Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2009
This was totally delicious! However, I wanted to make sure there was plenty of sauce for the rice so I tripled the soy sauce and honey and put in equal amounts of each. I also used much more garlic and added chopped onions. With fresh veggies and red pepper flakes (very spicy, which we like!) it came great. Will surely make again.

Pineapple Cranberry Chicken

Reviewed: May 3, 2009
I really liked this chicken dish. I added chicken broth because I served it over rice and wanted it to be nice and juicy. I also didn't layer; I mixed the pineapple and cranberry together. Since it tasted even better the next day, I think next time I will let the chicken marinate in the mixture overnight. I also think I will add a little bit of brown sugar to compliment the cinnamon.

Chocolate Chip Cookies Lite

Reviewed: May 3, 2009
For taste, I would give this recipe five stars. However, it says to place cookies on an ungreased baking sheet. I unfortunately just learned the hard way that low fat cookies must always come off of a well-greased pan. I wish this had been stated before, as I now have two dozen moist and delicious but paper coated chocolate chip cookies.

Oreo™ Cookie Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
This was nice jazzed-up box cake recipe. I don't care for glaze, so I frosted it with cool whip and added more crushed oreos on top. The oreos didn't stay layered; they sunk to the bottom. I don't know if that was something I did wrong. It still tasted good, though!

Easy Eggplant Parmesan

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
This was just okay. After making eggplant parm this way, I have decided that if I am going to take the time to make it, I will just fry the eggplant. What's a few more calories once in a while?

Portobello Mushroom Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
These were delicious! I had to broil them on each side for 5 minutes, and I put them on a wire rack so they wouldn't be soggy (as recommended by other reviewers). I'll certainly make again.

Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
This was my first time making stuffed peppers, and they came out pretty good. I only had four peppers on hand, and since some reviewers said they ran out of filling before all six peppers were stuffed, I thought I'd be okay with the four. I ended up having extra, so I'd recommend sticking with the six peppers as directed.

Portobello Lemon Chicken

Delicious! I had no mushrooms, so I used potatoes instead. I cooked the chicken covered for 40 minutes and then uncovered for 20 more minutes. Came perfect, maybe the best chicken I ever had!

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Followed the recipe exactly, and even marinated the steaks for about two days, but I was not thrilled by this marinade. If I were to ever try it again, I would definitely cut the herbs in half.

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
If I could give this recipe six stars, I would. I usually never like how my pork chops come out, but these were tender, juicy and totally delicious. The only changes I made were (like others said) I used one egg and less bread crumbs. Thanks for posting!

Broccoli with Lemon Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
So good! It was a bit tangy but my husband and I like it that way. Also added some garlic. I was afraid the frozen broccoli would be soggy, but it was all I had and it was still good. I will definitely use fresh next time, though.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
These porkchops had a nice mediterranean taste that my husband was raving about. The meat was very tender but also a bit dry, and I doubled the broth. Next time I will triple it. I omitted the poultry seasoning as recommended by other reviewers and I added some red pepper flakes. Came very spicy, so I won't be adding any additional spices to the original recipe next time either. Overall it was very good and different from the usual boring pork chop recipes, and super easy too.

Shiitake Angel Hair Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
Delicious! I used half and half instead of cream, cremini instead of shiitake, and also threw in some peas. Next time I will use all wine and no broth because I think the wine adds so much flavor!

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2009
This was very good. I added a can of navy beans and some chopped green peppers. I also made it in the crock pot, though I don't think it made a big difference. I'd make it again, but next time I will scale back the water to 1 cup to make it thicker.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Yummy!! I skipped the flour and added sun-dried tomatoes and extra garlic. I like that it's pretty healthy and delicious at the same time. Definitely would make this one again.
