Black Forest Cake I

Very delicious! I used strawberries instead of cherries, but did everything else the same and it was wonderful. Very moist and I loved the whipped cream topping!

Apple Yogurt Muffins

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
I thought these were really delicious. I ate like 4 the day I made them. I did, however, add an extra 1/2 cup of brown sugar to the recipe per other reviewers' suggestion of needing more sweetness. Also, make sure you cut up the apple really small, or even cook the apples down a little in some butter and sugar to soften them up. They are a bit too crispy still for my taste, but it's only a minor thing. That, plus the sugar issue is why I gave it 4 instead of 5.

One Bowl Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
This are perfect! I've been looking for a recipe that tastes like boxed brownies, only better. I'm not a fan of cake brownies, these are definitely fudgey. The first time I even messed up the recipe and only added half the butter, but they turned out absolutely perfect, so I'll continue to do that to have a lower fat version. The second time they were good, but I overbaked, so make sure you keep an eye on them.

Great recipe. I popped the patties in the fridge for a half hour before frying and had no trouble with them staying together.

Simple White Cake

This was a great recipe, but I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 because it was more like a pound cake, and almost tasted like sugar cookies to me. Simple to make and tasty!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
I'm not a big chocolate cake fan, but made these for a friend's birthday. I'm a chocolate cake fan now! WOW! This is the first time I've made cake from scratch, not a box. I actually made cupcakes. I halved the recipe and made 12 cupcakes, and they cooked 25 minutes on 350. If you make cupcakes, make sure to fill cups only half full because they rise a lot. Don't be freaked out by the boiled water. It seemed way too soupy to me, but turned out great.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
Loved this recipe. Instead of 2 cans of soup, I used 1 can of soup, plus 1 and 1/2 cans of milk. I found it to be plenty moist this way. I also topped with bread crumbs since I didn't have chips. My husband went crazy for it and ate it for lunch all week too. Will definitely make this again.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
These are excellent. I just added enough bread crumbs to get them to hold together, which was more than 1/2 cup. They tasted like panera bread company's black bean soup! My carnivore husband loved them!

Mama D's Italian Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
This recipe is wonderful! I've been making bread for only about 6 months, and this bread turned out perfect for me. I did know already how long for each rise (I did about 50 min), and I also knew what the consistency of the dough should be, so that helped, as the recipe doesn't do much to help newbies out. However, this bread tastes so awesome, my husband and I ate a loaf and a half in 1 day! I followed epiphonys' directions exactly. Also, 30 minutes in the oven with a pan of water on the lower rack almost burnt them, so keep an eye on them!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
I love this recipe. I've made it twice now following the recipe and directions exactly and they have turned out perfect both times. I don't like them too over flowing out of my pans because they tend to fall apart when I try to remove them. My husband said he can't stop eating them!
