Candied Almonds
Wonderful to be able to recreate the same snack that I love at our local Autumn Festival. I doubled the recipe ingredients but loaded up to 2 lbs of almonds (vs 4 cups). Set a timer for 20-25 minutes and keep stirring until water evaporates and almonds lose their shine. This will dry out the almonds and make them crunchy. Great recipe!

Candied Carrots
Quick and easy...used 1 lb bag of baby carrots and steamed instead of boil (to retain more flavor and nutrition). Skipped pepper and substituted 2 shakes of cinnamon instead. Agree w/ cooking down a bit to reduce and using a little cornstarch to thicken. Even my 14 yr old manage to eat a few...this from the teenager who hates to eat vegetables!

Pittsburgh Potatoes
Quick and easy. Watch the the cheese/butter in saucepan. Will burn easy even on low setting w/ gas stove. Must stir constantly. Lots of flavor. My 14 yr old son loved it.
