Swedish Nuts II

I have a new addiction. These were fantastic. I'm not sure I beat the egg mixture correctly because the nuts were covered in this white slime mixture. However, after it bakes it becomes translucent

Pasta with Peas and Sausage

Every one in my house gave it five stars. I thought it was pretty good but maybe I needed it a little more of a kick like red pepper flakes or black pepper. I think i'll try this again with spicy italian sausage.

Brunch Strata

I made this for a group of people and they loved it. I think what impressed them most was the zucchini for breakfast so they felt good about eating so many veggies. The flavor was very comforting and hearty but it didn't feel like you were consumming a brick for breakfast which I often run into with heavy sausage breakfast cassaroles. Nothing wrong with sausage unless you need to be functional for the rest of the day. Thanks for the recipe. I'll do this one again fo sho.

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Awesome! I peeled and boiled the sweet potatoes. Mashed up about 5 cups worth and mixed in the rest of the ingredients. Sort of tasted like pumpkin pie and everyone loved it this thanksgiving. I'm now the official cassaole maker.

Pretty good. Listen to the reviewers when they say make extra mash. If I try this again, I may just put the mash on the top and double the filling. I felt I was eating a plate full of mash potatoes instead of shepards pie. Flavor was great and it was my first time cooking with leeks. So if you're a leek virgin like me, then try this as a jumping off point.

Sour Cream Enchiladas

Perfect family meal. Sauce was great especially if you dig sour cream. I followed the advise of some of the reviewers and shredded the chicken. We had this with a side of mexican style rice. Thanks for the recipe.

Chicken Fried Venison Steaks

Pretty good. Almost like fish fry batter. I can't make gravy to save my life so we left it in the pan. Pretty sure it would have been a little plain. I liked it better than the think and greasy crust that most chicken fried steaks have but my husband prefers the crust that feels like you swallowed a brick. Thanks for the recipe.
