About this Cook
Recently married, I happened upon a husband who will eat anything I put infront of him, which allows me to experiment with as many different dishes as I please if for no other reason than I'm curious. I have a small zoo of pets, and also am fond of the idea of making little treats and special dishes for them too. aside from that I collect owls, hull pottery, garden, and even try to find time for video games.
My favorite things to cook
I've recently taken the venture into cooking and eating different types of fish, I found that I liked tuna steaks a year ago and have since tried flounder, salmon, mahi mahi, orange roughy, tilapia and shark steaks. I also enjoy asian style cooking and really heavily lean towards asian marinades spices and seasonings. I enjoy making desserts as well, my favorite being different types of pie, I am an open hater of store bought pies, and try to make some dessert for every occasion. really, I'll cook just about anything, I love having dinner parties because there is really nothing more rewarding than watching my friends/family enjoy a meal I prepared myself.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Apple pie. My grandma and I always made apple pies and I still use all her technique and her recipe every year for christmas and thanks giving.
My cooking triumphs
This years turkey was absolutely perfect, the seasoning was amazing, the homemade cranberry sauce was fantastic and I did it all myself.
My cooking tragedies
stuffing. I always screw up the stuffing, and I cannot make a grilled cheese sandwich to save my life.
