The crumb of the muffin was good; they rose nicely. Honestly not that impressed with the overall flavor of the muffins. Will search for a different recipe next time.

Hmm...well, this turned out good but not as well as I would have liked. My brownie layer ended up being gooey and my cheesecake layer was not as smooth in texture as I would have liked. The basic concept is good, but I think I'll have to experiment with it to get it right for me. Two things that I changed that I did like: I used Smucker's caramel topping and I added toasted, chopped pecans between the brownie and cheesecake layers. I also reduced the sugar in the cheesecake layer because the brownie and caramel are very sweet. Even though it didn't turn out as well as I would have like, my friends loved it. I'll definitely try it again!

This recipe was a great base for the way I like Texas Caviar. I ended up using two cans of black beans and one can of corn, then halved the rest of the ingredients. I added one tomato, diced and seeded and 1 avocado. Like another reviewer, I halved the dressing, and still found it to be too much. I also added 1/2 tsp ground cumin and 1/4 tsp ground corriander to the dressing and substituted 2 cloves minced garlic for the garlic powder. I like how this recipe boils the dressing and then lets it cool; that mellowed the flavor of the garlic a bit. With these additions, I give it five stars! Perfect "side" to bring to parties and BBQs!
