Molasses Sugar Cookies

I have never made molasses cookies and thought I would give it a shot. Although I was startled by the amount of shortening and no butter, I am so glad I followed the recipe as written. These were a tremendous hit with all at my Yule party. Young and old were raving. They came out chewy and oh so good. Thank you, Karin!

Tuna-Stuffed Avocados

Wow, this was a surprise! I am completely in love with this recipe. The tuna mixture is so tasty with the cream cheese and it complements the avocado so well. It's also great on crackers! Thanks for this one!

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Now this was REALLY good and easy to make. The reason for only 4 instead of 5 stars is it's incredibly fatty from all the butter and fat from the skin, but I guess that's what makes it taste so good.

Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi

I normally won't rate any recipe that I haven't followed to the letter, but the only thing I changed was the type of fish. Mahi was not available and swordfish was on sale, so I made it with that, not changing anything else. I loved this! It was easy and oh so good! My husband really thought this was fantastic. Definitely a keeper.

Oat Applesauce Muffins

Will only rate because I followed this recipe to the letter. I only came out with 9 muffins instead of 12. Although good, they could be a little sweeter. They tasted good warm from the oven with butter.

I really liked this. The flavor was great and so easy to make. The only think I would change is to use less dried figs. There were more figs than chicken! Really good though.

Slow Cooker Lentils and Sausage

This is so easy and so good! I halved the recipe and omitted the celery (didn't have any). I also used chicken broth instead of beef and turkey kielbasa (that's what I had on hand). My husband loves this!
