About this Cook
I am a weirdo who cooks to relax.
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake. Deserts, cakes, cookies, pies, cheese cakes and such. I also like to cook other stuff. Italian, German, comfort food, southern fare.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have 3 daughters and 1 son. My daughters do not share my love of cooking, but my son and I both love to make up recipes and try new things. He and I can both make a meal from stuff in the cupboard.
My cooking triumphs
Learning to make New York style cheesecake.
My cooking tragedies
I am torn between the bread exploding in the bread machine and putting baking soda in a cookie instead of baking powder.

Cheesy Corn Casserole
We loved it!!! If there were more stars I would give it. I added chopped kelbsa and some pepper jack chesse for a kick. this made it a whole meal. It was fantastic!

Black and White Cookies I
I have been trying to please my Queens born husband ever since we moved from NYC 8 years ago. I read the reviews and the suggestions from HOOSIER2B were good. However, my husband disagreed on the lemon and only wanted 1/2 a teaspoon and said that it was perfect that way. Thanks for all the good hints.

Sarah's Banana Bread Muffins
I too used only 1/2 of sugar but I added 1 box of Banana pudding and mini chocolate chips instead of nuts. The muffins exploded with banana flavor and were very moist.
