I am a middle school science teacher and I love to cook. I started cooking at a young age, and probobly would have become a proffesional chef, but a chefs hours make it hard to raise a family. So I decided to make cooking a passion and not a career. I love to try new things and I am constantly refining my dishes. My wife says I can't leave well enough alone, but she can't complain she has not had to cook since I met her (although she makes wonderful desserts). I am a Food Network junkie, and a Good Eats addict. Go figure science teacher and all. I love seeing what other cooks are doing, and I get many of my best ideas from them. Food. I like it all, and I am constantly changing what and how I cook. My Grandmother shared her love of cooking with me at a young age. She taught me to cook by taste rather than a recipie. To this day I view a recipie as a guideline, adapting them to what I think tastes best. I can still smell a big pot of marinera simmering on the stove. My secret recipie for lasagna.
