About this Cook
I can only hope to cook like my mom some day.
My favorite things to cook
Pretty much anything; however, I do tend to cook a lot of pasta. I also love to bake anything sweet and delicious!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Prime rib on Christmas Eve, cinnamon buns and mimosas on Christmas Morning, and giant pots of spaghetti sauce with mom =)
My cooking triumphs
I have perfected my chocolate chip cookies, everyone LOVES them when I take them places. I also can make amazing Lumpia. My first time trying, they turned out great and I was SO nervous they wouldn't =).
My cooking tragedies
No tragedies yet, but i'm sure there have been bumps along the way. I'll update!

Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms II
Very good! I added chopped mushroom stems, garlic powder, sage, red pepper flakes, salt & pepper, and used a full lb. of sausage. I baked for 10 mins then broiled for a couple more. Mmmm....

One Bowl Brownies
These were very good. I did 1 1/2 C. white sugar and 1/4 C. brown. Also, an extra tsp. of vanilla and instead of walnuts (didn't have any) i used semi-sweet chocolate chips. And just because, i added a spoonful of Hershey's Special Dark cocoa powder.

Corn Chowder with Sausage
WOW! SO good. The only actual changes I made were using 1/2 & 1/2 instead of the evap. milk and chicken broth instead of water. Some recommendations: use italian sausage, a mix of red and yukon gold potatoes (they're what I had on hand and turned out great!), add a couple splashes of Tobasco, and use red onion =). I also added some spices based on personal preference. This is AWESOME and easy to tweak to perfection. (Note: I let this simmer for about an hour and the consistency was perfect!)
