Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
This honestly wasnt great. Didnt have all ingrediants on hand so that may be why. Used 1 tblespn white sugar instead of brown, no cashews and minced garlic. Plus I added a little cayenne pepper. Just didnt enjoy at all. The soy sauce/butter mixture wasnt a pleaser either. :-(

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
Pretty much perfect. Could've used a little something eles (hence the 4 stars) just dont know what. But these were definatly good. Followed all directions as written. Used the skinny aaparagus, came out to desired tenderness. Poured a couple drops of the sauce over them the last minute of baking. What more can I say? Thanks for the great recipe!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
This definatly was good! I made a few changes in the way I layered it and cut down on the sour cream. I think had I not I would have given this 5 stars. With that being said here is what I did: I halved the recipe (was only cooking for two) used about 1/3 cup sour cream (half would've been 3/4) and layered as follows. Half of the ziti, half sauce, prov. cheese, sour cream. Other half ziti, sauce and so on. Next time, and they're DEFINATLY will be a next time I will layer as directed exept the top layer will do sauce first then cheese, and use all 3/4 part sour cream. And of course you must baked covered! Yuuuum!! My fiance said it was SOOOO GOOD, and he is the HARDEST to please! Thanks for the recipe!

Deviled Eggs I

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
My fiance loved these. I dont care for them much, I like the egg whites by themselves but anything more I dont touch it. So I didnt try these but my fiance who is EXTREAMLY hard to please when it comes to cooking for said they were quote on quote "EXELLENT!" Didnt even have to ask. Thats rare. I dont think he's ever told me that so they must have been. I added a little extra mayo, looked kinda dry and took the advice of reviewers and used prepared mustard (store brand, couldnt even tell) instead of Powdered. Also didnt measure paprika, just shook a little on each egg by sight.

Baked Beef Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2009
I would give this 10 stars if possible. This was good for a basic stew. Baked was something absolutely new to me. First off, when I make it again, and I will be making it again, I think I may leave out the cornstarch/water that I used instead of tapioca and add an extra can of Beef broth (used in place of beef granules) My fiance and I thought it was a bit too thick. I placed flour, salt, pepper, garlic salt, and tony's seasoning in a ziplock bag and shook it up with the meat before browing. The flour on the meat with do enough as far as thicking it out. Also I didnt use any celery (didnt have any) and added mushrooms and green beans. followed cooking directions to a T. Overall was wonderful!

Baked Asian-Style Honey Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
Let me start off by saying this was great! 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the cooking times?? Lowered it to 350 still burnt by skin, but the flavor... yuum. My fiance said quote on quote, this is soo good, the meat is so tender its falling off the bone! I used bone in thighs.. will use legs next time or drumettes, would taste better. I tripled the marinade, put in ziplock bags next time when I have time, will mariande over-night. Used the last batch of marinade to baste while in the oven to keep it moist as it baked. This had a rich asain flavor with a kick. I did add ground red pepper and some red pepper flakes. (everything we eat involves spice) Deffinatly recommend, just think the cooking time is too high. Maybe bake covered?? Can you do that anyone?? Will it cook right/thru?

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
This was okay. Could do without the vegtables and I love veggies. Even my fiance who devoures peas said it wasnt right. Needs lots of soy sauce, a pinch of sesame oil, used a bit too much, and deffinatly need to use cold rice made the day prior. Makes a huge difference!! Came out very mushy, guess I had to learn the hard way. Will make again but with these changes

This was perfect, although I only used it for the cooking temp/time. I added pepper, tony's seasoning and a few crushed red pepper sprinkles along with the garlic salt on both sides before placing in oven. Followed cooking directions to a T, and it was delicious. (used kc masterpiecr hot & spicy bbq sauce)
