About this Cook
Im a friendly outgoing mom of a beautiful little boy. I have the greatest man by my side, whom I love more than life itself. Since we've met, over the years I've tried to take up cooking. He deserved it since Im home most of the time, still getting used to it, although I do have my specialties.
My favorite things to cook
The easy peasy stuff, stir-frys are great along with baking. I enjoy cooking whatever I can master and do enjoy pleasing my fiance, I have two boys so far, and you know what they say about getting to thier heart :). But I honestly dont care for it much. Can get quite messy and im a little OCD...lol So whatever's easiest makes me happy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Don't really have any yet. But I'm sure there will be as the years come and my family grows! A personal fav of mine is enjoying my mother-in-laws DO DIE FOR cooking during the holidays when all the family gets together :)
My cooking triumphs
Successfully attempting to make Super spicy mongolian beef, from allrecipes.com My finaces absolute FAVOTITE now!!! **UPDATE** Baked Ziti has come in second!
My cooking tragedies
I've had alot :-( Although I've made much progress over the years...

Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews
This honestly wasnt great. Didnt have all ingrediants on hand so that may be why. Used 1 tblespn white sugar instead of brown, no cashews and minced garlic. Plus I added a little cayenne pepper. Just didnt enjoy at all. The soy sauce/butter mixture wasnt a pleaser either. :-(

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce
Pretty much perfect. Could've used a little something eles (hence the 4 stars) just dont know what. But these were definatly good. Followed all directions as written. Used the skinny aaparagus, came out to desired tenderness. Poured a couple drops of the sauce over them the last minute of baking. What more can I say? Thanks for the great recipe!

Baked Ziti I
This definatly was good! I made a few changes in the way I layered it and cut down on the sour cream. I think had I not I would have given this 5 stars. With that being said here is what I did: I halved the recipe (was only cooking for two) used about 1/3 cup sour cream (half would've been 3/4) and layered as follows. Half of the ziti, half sauce, prov. cheese, sour cream. Other half ziti, sauce and so on. Next time, and they're DEFINATLY will be a next time I will layer as directed exept the top layer will do sauce first then cheese, and use all 3/4 part sour cream. And of course you must baked covered! Yuuuum!! My fiance said it was SOOOO GOOD, and he is the HARDEST to please! Thanks for the recipe!
